Frequently asked questions

There are rough timelines that clinicians follow to help determine whether a goal may or may not be appropriate for your child. There are many other factors that are also considered such as family history and the impact that the challenge may have on the child’s confidence or ability to participate in a variety of settings.

In line with minimum charges regulated by the profession, service fees are calculated at an hourly rate of $180/hr for the first session and $150/hr for all other sessionsThere may also be transportation costs applied depending on your location. A phone consultation of 30 minutes is provided free of charge. If your child is receiving FSCD funding, the rate my differ depending on your family circumstance. 

Clients will be invoiced following sessions. Invoices can be paid via e-transfer or cheque written to Tiny Mighty Speech Services. Payment is required within 24 hours of the service. A late charge of $50 will be applied for late payments, and services will be paused until payment is made in full.

Tiny Mighty Speech Services will directly bill insurance providers when applicable. If the invoice is not paid by the insurance provider, the client is ultimately responsible for payment. The client may also present paid invoices for reimbursement from the insurance provider. If the client  is receiving funding for services from Family Support with Disabilities (FSCD), invoices may be sent directly from Tiny Mighty Speech Services to FSCD upon receiving signatures from the parent or guardian. However, clients can also choose to be reimbursed following out-of-pocket payment.
