Qualifications

  • Speech-Language Pathologist is a current member in good standing with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Vulnerable sector police check
  • Valid Alberta Driver’s License and vehicle
  • CPR certification is considered an asset
  • Previous pediatric experience working in private and school settings is an asset

Responsibilities

Successful applicants will have a diverse caseload including:

  • Private clients
  • FSCD contracts
  • Conducting formal assessments in schools around the city
  • Administering formal and informal assessments
  • Writing formal reports
  • Assessment, diagnosing, and treatment
  • Work with a complex and diverse caseload

Speech Language Pathology Assistant

We are looking for a part-time SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) to work closely with our families. We have a family-centered approach, and value finding the perfect fit!

Responsibilities

  • Coaching families and building capacity
  • Modelling therapy strategies provided by Clinician/Team Lead
  • Providing direct therapy to children
  • Advocating for child’s needs
  • Creating appropriate session plans following Clinician guidance

Qualifications

  • Independent and also works well as part of a team
  • Previous experience working with children and families
  • Completed or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or diploma in related field
  • Valid Alberta Driver’s License and Vehicle
  • Demonstrates cultural competency and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Assets

  • Second-language is considered an asset
  • Previous experience working in a rehabilitation setting is an asset
